These types of investments are typically reserved exclusively for pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and ultra high-net worth individuals. At Navable, we aim to change that by enabling individual investors globally access to best in class alternative assets.
We have raised a seed round, have a functioning product and a top private equity firm as our first paying customer (a global firm with $75 Billion in assets under management).
The Role
Navable is seeking a Fractional Head of Engineering to guide our development team on a part-time basis, approximately 20-40 hours per month. As the Fractional Head of Engineering, you will oversee the engineering team and help drive quality development practices. You will be involved in defining the technology roadmap, ensuring that we are using the latest technologies and best practices to build scalable, reliable, and secure applications. You will be joining a team that values moving quickly with quality.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all system design and changes in architecture
- Participate in code reviews and ensure that the code is maintainable and adheres to coding standards
- Serve as the senior technical voice in feasibility, implementation and technical design discussions
- Oversee improvements and maintenance of devops infrastructure
- Ensure that the applications are deployed and managed in a reliable and scalable way
- Monitor and improve application performance, availability, and scalability
Requirements
- Deep experience with many parts of our stack:
- Python (Django Rest)
- Typescript (React)
- Terraform (All of our infrastructure is managed via terragrunt)
- AWS
- Strong technical skills and experience with a variety of programming languages and technologies
- At least 10 years of experience in software development
- Minimum of 2 years engineering management experience
- Minimum of 2 years devops experience
- Very strong system design and architecture skills
- Demonstrated experience in player-coach roles with continuous daily coding responsibilities
